As Specialty Coffee Consultant, I've worked for beverage-and-bean stores around the globe, developing complete coffee-focused concepts from start to finish.

 

After working for Starbucks in the very beginning (as first employee under CEO, Howard Schultz), I built a career around elevating coffee. And I can proudly say I come with the best references in the industry.

Currently, instead of retiring I opened Coffee At Dawn, a cafe in the woods next door to Mukilteo Coffee Roasters, Whidbey Island, WA. My experience in all things retail and specialty coffee has led to my next adventure here on the island. 

​

Specialty coffees, breakfast and lunch are served all day. Fresh artisan-made baked goods include cookies, cakes, and gluten free options all by chef, Julie Parrick. We serve sandwiches, giant burritos, garden plate, The Todd, a  Carnivore's favorite, pancakes, waffles and more. Dawn's unique coffee beverage menu includes spices (Good Spyc private labeled) and developed in collaboration with (www.laboiteny.com) specifically for coffee and condiments.

Everything is made fresh daily with the best of ingredients. The mocha and salted caramel sauce are made in house....no JUNK! 

 

Dining in the barn or outside in the woods is a wonderful experience. The locals are some of the nicest people ever, and of course we are dog friendly.
